The Waiting City

Corporate lawyer, Fiona, and washed up rock star, Ben, lead tense and dissolute lives waiting to adopt 18-month-old Lakshmi.  When they travel to Calcutta to collect their baby, their relationship is tested and reshaped in shocking, poignant and tragic ways. Within the tumult, Ben and Fiona rediscover a belief in life’s possibilities and that of their marriage. The Waiting City was an official selection at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.
